Frequently Asked Questions
-
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-off) method that supports your body’s natural ability to relax and rebalance.
It works with universal life energy — a calm, subtle flow that helps your system settle, soften and restore itself.
The practitioner doesn’t give you their own energy; they simply act as a channel so this universal energy can move where your body needs it most.
-
You lie down fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or above different areas of your body.
There’s no pressure, manipulation or talking needed — you simply rest.
Most people feel warmth, tingling, deep calm, or a sense of dropping back into themselves.
Some people fall asleep, which is completely normal.

We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.Reiki is suitable for anyone who wants more calm, clarity or grounding.
People often seek Reiki when they feel stressed, tense, overwhelmed, emotionally heavy, or simply disconnected from themselves.
It’s also supportive during periods of change, recovery, or when life feels a bit too full.
-
People often notice:
More calm in their nervous system
Less physical tension
Deeper sleep and easier rest
More clarity and inner space
Feeling grounded again
A sense of returning to themselves
These effects can continue for hours or days after the session.

Reiki is gentle, but your body can respond in different ways as it releases tension and integrates the session. These reactions are not harmful — they’re simply signs that your system is shifting, clearing, or reorganising itself.
Headache
A temporary headache can happen when your body is releasing physical or energetic “waste.” During a session, tension can loosen, and your system may start clearing out what it no longer needs. Drinking enough water helps your body flush these released particles more easily. If you don’t hydrate, they can linger a bit longer, which may contribute to a mild headache.
Nausea or vomiting
Reiki can bring deeper layers of tension or emotional weight to the surface. Sometimes your body chooses a physical way to let go — which can show up as nausea, or in rare cases, vomiting. This is simply your system releasing something that has been held for a long time. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it usually passes quickly.
Digestive changes
Your digestive system is one of the body’s natural pathways for release. If Reiki loosens stored imbalance or emotional heaviness, your intestines may respond by speeding up their activity. This can show up as a busy stomach or mild diarrhoea — a natural way for your body to let go.
Emotional release
You may feel softer, more emotional, or more aware of what’s happening inside you. This is part of the integration process and usually leads to more clarity and calm.
Sensitivity
Some people feel temporarily more sensitive to noise, screens, or busy environments. Your nervous system is recalibrating — this sensitivity usually fades within hours.
Fatigue or sleepiness
Your body may want rest as it processes the session. Feeling tired is normal and often a sign that your system is doing deeper work.
How long does this last?
Most reactions fade within a few hours or by the next day. Giving yourself a little space after the session — time to rest, drink water, and avoid overstimulation — helps your system settle smoothly.
-
Reiki is safe for most people.
However, it is not a replacement for medical care.
If you have a medical condition, mental health concerns, or are pregnant, you can still receive Reiki — but always follow your doctor’s advice.
Energetic treatments should be seen as supportive, not as primary treatment.
-
One session can already bring relief.
For deeper patterns or long-term stress, people often choose a small series (3–5 sessions).
You can decide this at your own pace — there’s no pressure.
-
Drink water
Take it slow
Avoid overstimulation if possible
Listen to your body
Your system may be more sensitive for a few hours.
